Danelectro Convertible c1960.
This electro/acoustic plays and sounds excellent for it’s age, with only one pickup you may think it has a weak sound when amplified but putting it through our ‘Fender Pro’ it still packs a fair punch, unplugged it sounds just as punchy as the soundboard gives it a subtle reverb that really fills out the sound, more akin to the spring reverb found in some amps.
This example has had it’s fair share of knocks and the edging has for some reason been sanded down to bare wood.
It is still a fine example of the Danelectro collection of Shorthorn guitars and still a joy to play.
